2 e-mails. Follow up appropriately please.

E-mails:First one:  "I created a turnitin assignment for our next story. Look at my web page for a bulletin on what's next: no surprises. Remember, 8 - 12 pages, submit to turnitin by the 13th. You need to make 12 copies (that includes me). I can help you make copies, too.
Mr. K"
Second one: (paraphrased) King is here, please get your books from the library and bring them to class on Monday (3/9).

Post of 2/6: Please vote!!

Let's make a democratic decision. Please respond with which of three things you would like to do first.

  1. Short Story
  2. Poetry
  3. song
Please reply by Sunday night. I hate to bring it up, but I will grade this. This is because it is critical that input is received and it is a good way for us to get used to the idea and practice of being aware of what's being blogged and responding or posting appropriately in terms of content and timeliness.
Thank you! - Mr. K

Hello Creative Writers!

Here is your first assignment. Please respond to this post with comments.

What we are going to do, among other things, is post our writing by a certain deadline, and then receive reader feedback - also by a deadline. This is so that we can discuss, workshop in class, and revise.

As far as the kind of feedback, I am asking for your ideas. What would you like to hear from readers about your writing?

If there is one rule, then it is that you must comment on the writing and never on the writer. So, as my friend Dr. Whorton says, " 'This line is not funny' is okay, but 'You're not funny' is not okay." In other words, it's about the writing, not the writer.

So, please respond to this by February fourth. The question to answer is:

"What is it about your writing that you would like readers to constructively comment on?"
